Hi All,
I was wondering if you could help, i have taken over a mini project from experienced Appian dev's to make minor adjustments to the application before re-testing. Part of this i needed to create a record type and save it into a data entity. I have gone into the data entity and added the new data entity and hit verify and it is coming up with an error. Not to do with the work i have personally completed but with the data someone else has completed and as such it won't let me save. The part that is throwing me out is the part about it expecting double??? it's a number and i am not sure what to do but now i am stuck with what i am doing....
any advise would be gratefully appreciated as my training was over 2 months ago and this is really the first time i have had a chance to start some in depth work....
thank you
sarah

Hi Sarahb,
Open table PLM_View_CapturedLockData in DB and change the data type of id column to int and open data store and check it will work.
Hi. The id column is already showing as int? see below
Can you change to Double and give a try once.!
possibly but this is the area i least understand how to use, are you able to go about how i would do that please? sorry...
Open the PLM_View_CapturedLockData CDT and download XSD of that and check type it should be int, like this <xsd:element name="id" nillable="true" type="xsd:int"> if it is double change back to int and try it once it will work for sure.
i think i have done what you have said but it still won't work, i am not sure what i am doing wrong
actually the error has now changed to a different error
Hi Sarah,
Delete your cdt and again create cdt by using option "Create from database table or view"
Can you share it here please.
the data in the database isn't correct, the requirements have changed since the orginal developers created this application. Is that the easier way?
