1. I have an Oracle schema ADMIN, and another schema APP.
2. All tables are created and owned by ADMIN, APP has selective grants to those tables.
3.I created public synonyms for all the tables under ADMIN.
4. I'm trying to connect the appian datastore to oracle using the APP schema.
5. None of the ADMIN tables are viewable from the APP datastore. (When I create a CDT from database, none of the tables show up in the dropdown.)
Why can't the APP user see the ADMIN tables?

Synonyms are not supported. Depending on your use case, you could create simple views pointing to these tables. Then Appian will see these.

Do you mean to create views in the APP schema that point to the ADMIN tables?

Appian only supports tables and views.
Create the views in that schema used for Appian.
Ah, I see, I think you misunderstood my question.
Synonyms are needed when using oracle schemas.

Appian does not support linked tables. A table must exist directly in that schema. If that is not possible and data is for read-only, create a view directly in the schema which fetches data from the linked table.
This is what I experienced. If that does not work, I suggest to contact Appian.
