Hello,  A user has reported the following error in the attached screenshot.  I tried to open tomcat from the system logs to analyze the error but I could not. Can you please let me know how to resolve this error?  is it in the process model/instance or somewhere else? Thank you Raj

While moving our environments from the Linux VM to Kubernetes, (Initial we are on Appian 25.3 version and recently we are moved to 26.3 but this issue remains) we started facing some issues with Appian like,  or  Note: This is not related to code.  Does, anyone else also got these kind of issues and how you resolved this. 

I have process model which run subprocess.Both main and sub process already set alert to specific user. However, when error occur on sub process, alert email was sent to all admin in environment (admin@xxx.appiancloud.com) Are there any workaround for this issue? ----- Following is main and sub process configuration. Currently, the videos only have subtitles in English, and as a Spanish speaker, having subtitles in Spanish would greatly facilitate my learning process.Is there a feature within the platform to enable subtitles in other languages, or do you have plans to offer this option in the future?I look forward to your response.Best regards,

We have requirement to automate Regression suit with end to end functionality testing of workflow.What could be the possibility with On premise version without having any Appian provided AI features etc.  

Unsure if there is a place to provide feedback on the DevAgent/MCP capabilities, but I am putting it here for lack of anything else.  I have been using this extensively the last week as I am trying to create a sales demo.  In this process i have found a few issues.1 - AI Skills.  DevAgent when it modifies them, actually messes them up and I need to re-create them.  It changed the input parameters and needless to say the AI skill does not work after that.  The visualization in the process model is also incorrect.  Unsure how/why it does that, but it is an issue2 - Given #1, I asked it to fix some json output from the AI Skill but do not modify the AI skill.  IT modified the AI skill anyway.  It also thought there was an error in the AI Skill so ti tried to fix it and back to #13 - Many times it tried to fix a process model and gets stuck trying to fix it.  It spent 7 hours tryiung to fix an issue.  It should stop or ask for some guidance.  But within Claude, using the DevMCP, it spent t

Hi, I am quite excited to finally use the AI Dev Agent in 26.6 which was installed for us yesterday. I asked the system to generate a simple expression rule as a test and was impressed with the plan, but it could not create and threw some errors on network connectivity.  My AI engines are enabled (several of those), I tried to access with InPrivate browser just in case, but keep getting several of these errors in the Tomcat log:   [Appian Timer - 2] WARN com.appiancorp.common.ObjectSynchronizer - 1 services were missing users Is there some configuration that remains (not sure where I would be specifying a service user)?  

Hello All, I’m currently using a View-based synchronized Record Type in Appian to display data on the front end(Dash Board). While the underlying data in the source has been updated and the latest information is visible in the database view, the changes are not being reflected in the Record Type as expected. Could anyone share suggestions or best practices for ensuring that modified data is refreshed and synchronized correctly within the Appian Record Type? Any guidance on how to retrieve the latest updates efficiently would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support and insights.

Hello, I am working on an automation process where I use Appian RPA to login to a website and download an excel file (XLS format).My initial plan was to use “Import Excel to Database” smart service (Excel Tools plugin) to import the data directly into the required table. Unfortunately, this is not working as this smart service only works on XLSX and not XLS.  I then tried converting XLS to CSV and then use “Import CSV to Database” smart service (Excel Tools plugin). But even here the file type allowed in XLSX.  Finally, since I have Appian RPA in the scene, I tried opening the excel using “Open Workbook” operation and use “Save Workbook As” operation to convert it into an XLSX file. But this was only changing the name of the file and not the type.Can anyone point me in the direction that I should be taking in Appian to get the data from the XLS file into the database table? Regards,Deepak

As per the documentation it says we can map record type as PV however when I’m searching my record type while configuring the pv, I’m not seeing my record type. I have been working hard to get get the AI development parts of 26.6 up and running and I am stuck on a simple thing but I have no direction.  I have the Appian MCP setup;  but it is a read only and limited query type of MCP.  I learned of the DEvMCP and that is what I am working on.  I Have also learned that Composer does not build interfaces, there is a fix coming soon for that.  The Dev Agent does not work at all, seemly network errors but I have no idea what they are or what needs to be resolved I have no detail to know what to do.  The documentation does not say we need to enable something (We are using Appian Cloud).Now the real question.  When I set up the MCP for Claude, it is not using my user name.  It is something thing else, that the best I can tell does not exist.  The message is: INFO:lcp_mcp_server.server:Username: MikePrentice.  While that is my name… that is not my user name.  So where is it getting it.  I have searched a few places and that string value does not reall

Using Appian 24.1.  I have created a custom plugin.Let’s call the plug com.appiancorp.plugins.RaysClass.If I use log.error(“RAYS ERROR”), the entries are written to the tomcat log file.If I use log.debug(“RAYS DEBUG”) statements, those entries are NOT written.I have tried adding log4j.logger.com.appiancorp.plugins.RaysClass=DEBUG to the bottom of the appian_log4j.properties file.  Still no debug statements.If I add log4j.logger.com.appian=DEBUG, as soon as I save the file, I get a bunch of debug statements in the log.I still don’t see “RAYS DEBUG” in the log file.What must I do to write debug statements from a custom plugin to the tomcat log file?

Hi, We are facing a production issue in an application with a large volume of data. We display case counts using Expression Rules (ERs) and category-wise metrics using a Record Type-based Bar Chart. Although we apply filters on a few columns, when users select a 1-year date range, the queries process a significant amount of data and the ERs fail with:"Memory threshold reached during output conversion"The bar chart performance is also impacted due to the large dataset. We are looking for best practices to handle large-scale reporting and dashboard aggregation in Appian. Has anyone implemented an effective approach for such scenarios in production? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

How to create a record type from scratch?

We have tried implementing google reCaptcha in our portal,The google recaptcha connection is successful,We have used verifyRecaptcha and tested , it doesn't tally with the scores which we provide in the conditions on success or error,   We tried to find the score value by creating a table and writing the fv!score to the db through start process on success of verifyRecaptcha.   Is there any way to find the score values, Could anyone help to get the recaptcha working in appian portal

Hi Team, We have custom registration plugin and we used to for our registration form, will show first and last names and email of the user and a captcha to verification then will allow to submit the button. Now, we are facing issue that input fields and some content in the page is no longer visible in the registration form. Could you please update me if you have any idea . Regards, Sireesha

I am using “Style Text Editor “ Field for one of the input field and set the character limit to 4000 .It is showing validation for 99 percent itself that It has reached the maximum limit.May I know Why it is happening like this and how the bolded/Italic values consumes the field characters and showing the warning without reaching 100 percent.How this issue can be resolved?

Hi, I am a new Appian employee and I just wanted to understand how many environments do we usually have in Appian where to deploy our applications? What are their most important features? Are there some best practices to follow in using them? I know there are the development one and quality (or testing) one for building and testing the applications and the production one where the applications run, but is there a link to a more specific documentation of the differences between them? I couldn't find it. Thanks for all the help!
