For greenfield, Composer shows a Plan with all objects and how they map. Has anyone successfully done the same for an existing brownfield app and got a proper mapped plan view out of it? If yes, what approach worked?

Enhancement Request:We would like to request an enhancement to Appian Designer search functionality to support exact phrase matching when searching within object types.Currently, searching for a sentence or multi-word phrase returns results based on individual keywords, making it difficult to locate specific expressions, rules, interface text, constants, process models, or other objects containing an exact sentence.Requested Functionality:Provide an option for exact phrase matching, similar to common search engines. Support syntax such as: "Faculty Appointment Committee" (quoted phrase) An "Exact Match" checkbox/filter in the search interface. Return only objects that contain the exact phrase in the same word order.

I’m new to Appian and want to learn how to build integrations, but I’m not sure where to start. I’d appreciate guidance from people who have been through this.

Hi All, I'm trying to pass Json type data input (which is a rule from my interface sending it to process model via start process) to JsonToExcel Smart Service. I need the output format as below. Please advise. expected sample output format - = "[{ ""startPublicationDate"": ""2021-09-05"",""endPublicationDate"": ""2021-09-05""   }]" The challenge I see here is my rule has nested rules inside it and output is a list of dictionary.

We build plug-ins with Plug-in Composer in IntelliJ IDEA, smart services, functions, components, but deploying the JAR to a Cloud environment needs an approval, so there is no quick way to test. For anyone without an on-prem or local setup, what is the best approach to properly test a plug-in before that approval, and what do you use as evidence, screenshots, a video, something else?

When deploying the Docx Services plugin to our US-based Appian Cloud I’m receiving the following error:Plug-in com.synechron.plugins.docxservices Module docx-servicesV1 is missing the following internationalization bundle(s) for Locale en_US: [com.synechron.plugins.docxservices.docx-servicesV1] (APNX-1-4200-000)I see that there is a docx-servicesV1_en_GB.properties resource file in the JAR but not one for en_US.  Do we need to contact the developer (Synechron) to see if they can make this quick change or are there other options to allow us to successfully deploy to the cloud?  If we need to contact Synechron does anyone know a resource to contact?

Hi, i have a requirement to extract a particular cell(integer) from an excel sheet the specified cell is in G column 46th row. Please update on the solution.

I added a chat agent to our case summary page with a!agentChatField. When I test it as a developer it works fine, pulls case data and starts the update process. When a business user opens the same page and asks the same question, the agent fails right away with an access error. The user can open the record, so record security looks fine.

Title: How to Extract Text from a Scanned PDF in Appian?Hi everyone,I’m trying to extract data from a scanned PDF document in Appian. Since the PDF contains scanned images rather than selectable text, I need an OCR solution to read the content and extract the required information.I tried using the Document Extraction AI Skill / Extract from Document smart service, but it is not working in my current environment.Could someone please suggest:Which smart service or plug-in is best for extracting text from scanned PDF documents in Appian? Are there any additional configurations, plug-ins, or AI capabilities required? Is there an alternative approach if Document Extraction AI Skill is not available or supported in my environment? Any suggestions or examples of how to implement this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I want to export to excel record grid which is having more than 50 columns what functionality I can use

Good morning,In one of our applications we have the following security-related findings:1 - sysrule.securityWarning.ruleFolder.individualUserDetectedI understand that Appian generally recommends managing access through groups, rather than giving permissions directly to individual users.  However how could I find out where this has happened?2 - sysrule.securityWarning.group.noAdminGroup I believe that Appian flags this because group administration should be controlled rather than relying on individual users.   However how could I find out where this has happened? 3 - sysrule.securityWarning.ruleFolder.noAdminGroupI believe that this means that a rule folder does not have an administrator group configured.  However how could I find out where this has happened?  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. RObert

Hellooo! Does anyone know what might be causing this issue? We're currently facing this predicament in the entirety of our environment.  Is there anything we can do in Appian to address this? Help would be gladly appreciated.

I have tried to use cardlayout on top of gridfield so that color of card will come on to grid header, it doesn’t look good. as we also use export functionality.

We are looking to integrate Appian running on Kubernetes with a centralized logging platform such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch and would like to understand the recommended and supported architecture. Our initial assumption was that a Kubernetes DaemonSet-based collector would be sufficient. However, we have observed that many Appian logs are written to files within the pod filesystem rather than to stdout/stderr, making them unavailable through typical Kubernetes container log collection methods.Given this architecture, we would like guidance on the following:What is the recommended and supported approach for collecting Appian logs and forwarding them to OpenSearch or Elasticsearch? Does Appian provide a native or supported mechanism to export, stream, or forward logs to an external logging platform? If logs are stored on mounted volumes, is it supported to collect those files directly using tools such as Fluent Bit, Fluentd, Filebeat, or similar log shippers? Does Appian recommend a
