Hi, I am quite excited to finally use the AI Dev Agent in 26.6 which was installed for us yesterday. I asked the system to generate a simple expression rule as a test and was impressed with the plan, but it could not create and threw some errors on network connectivity.  My AI engines are enabled (several of those), I tried to access with InPrivate browser just in case, but keep getting several of these errors in the Tomcat log:   [Appian Timer - 2] WARN com.appiancorp.common.ObjectSynchronizer - 1 services were missing users Is there some configuration that remains (not sure where I would be specifying a service user)?

My use case is that I want to display a read only field on the reconciliation form - the value in this read only field will be driven by another field that was extracted from the document. The read only field is there to provide extra context for the end user.Any recommended way for me to approach this?Thanks in advance!

I have worked across various applications. In my first application, we had 2,3 query rules for same record type but each serving a different purpose depending upon the field being queried or the amount of data being passed. In another project, we have a generic rule for each record type which is being used whenever we want to query the data. In one more project, I have seen only one generic rule being used for all record types which in turn means even the record type is being passed dynamically. I want to understand which approach makes more sense, pros and cons and do we really need to modularize everything this much.

Hi,Here is the scenario I am facing:I open an Expression Rule and implement my logic. I add several test cases to validate the expected behavior. I save the Expression Rule, which creates version 18. Later, I modify the Expression Rule code and save it again, which creates version 19. When version 19 is created, I can see that the test cases from version 18 are available in the new version.Could you please explain why, when I delete version 18 and refresh the latest version, all my test cases are lost?I would expect the test cases to be kept in version 19 since they were automatically carried over when the new version was created.I tried this on many ERs and observed the same behavior.Regards

I know Appian internally tracks the Last Sync Time for synced record types and displays it in the Monitor View → Record Sync Status and Sync History screens. However, I haven't found any documented or supported way to access this information programmatically within an application. Specifically, is there an expression function, query API, record metadata API, or other supported mechanism that exposes a record type's last successful sync timestamp for use in interfaces, process models, or expression rules?If not, what is the recommended approach for applications that need to display or validate the most recent sync time?

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing this odd behaviour with this specific dataset. The other start processes within the platform are running just fine! The log does not provide me any useful info also.  This is my input example. The start process will run in MNI for each set of input. Sometimes parent process stopped because of this error: Failed to start process. Process Model ID: ButI open the sub-process it run till the end.The parent process will run sub-process for each pv!relationshipToUpdate. Hello Team, I have created a Web API that triggers a process model. To consume this API, I created an integration object in Appian using the Web API URL. When I test the integration, it returns a 200 (OK) status code, but the process model is not getting triggered. After checking the response, I found that the integration is being redirected to the login page, and because the login page loads successfully, the response status is returned as 200. Could you please suggest the correct approach for implementing the integration on top of the Web API? Do I need to configure authentication differently or use another integration method to avoid the login page redirection?

My use case is I have a large PDF that is essentially a bunch of smaller PDFs stitched together. Each smaller PDF has a dynamic number of pages, and they’re split by a separator page, so a human can tell when an individual document starts. I know there’s a PDF Tools plug in, but it doesn’t seem like there’s functionality to split by a separator page or something similar - it’s all by a specified page range or by number of pages in a document. The best thing I can think of right now is to use AI or something to find out where the separator pages are, the page ranges of the individual documents are, and loop through the large document until the end, but that sounds like it might be complicated and I’m wondering if there’s a simpler solution? Thank you in advance!

I'm planning to create some reusable components in Appian. I've already built several, including reusable forms, page headers, message banners, empty state (no data) screens, date and currency formatting utilities, and a few others. Can anyone suggest additional reusable components, patterns, or expression rules that would be useful across most Appian applications?

Hi Appian Community, wanted to see if anyone has this setup of being an Appian Cloud customer and has email server setup with Microsoft 365 cloud SMTP relay, specifically for outbound emails from Appian → External Recipients?I am able to receive outbound emails from the Appian platform with my organization’s internal email addresses. The problem is when testing by sending to external email addresses (both business email addresses, tested by sending to @microsoft.com and personal email addresses, tested by sending to @gmail.com and @hotmail.com). Hey all! I'm sharing the Appian interface I recently built to give better visibility into the system's recent internal Login Audit files (instead of constantly downloading and opening CSV files) - particularly helpful if you're an O&M user and/or diagnosing login issues for any other reason. This interface relies on the Log Reader plug-in (and also uses the Date and Time Utilites plug-in for a certain transform on timestamps).  That said, I can't say how it'll perform on multi-server environments, since I don't have one to try it on. The entire interface is self-contained, with the sole exception of a custom rule I wrote that utilizes the internal "User" record to take an entered username and get the system's properly-cased username (since there is some inconsistent case sensitivity around usernames and there's no other way I could come up with to tell what the 'real' version is).  I'll include that expression rule co

Now can we setup a integration with external system and write the data directly to DB using Write Records smart service or first we save the data using Process model and save in DB and then for updating records we use write records smart service.option1: External System-->Integration-->ProcessModel (Call integration-->Parse response data to CDT structure-Write to data store entity)-->Records--->UIoption2: External System--->Integration--Write Records-->Save DBwhich one is possible and can be implemented. I want to be able to create acquisition templates 

Hi I have a requirement where I need to invoke an asynchronous API that returns a jobId in the response. After a certain wait time, I need to call a second API to check the status of the job by passing the jobId received from the first API. This status API should continue to be invoked at regular intervals until the job completes successfully. All of these steps must be completed before the form is submitted, as activity chaining needs to be maintained. Our current plan is to use a Start Process smart service to initiate the asynchronous operation and capture the process ID. I can then use Query Process Analytics at configurable refresh intervals to monitor the process status until the second API returns a successful response. Once the process completes, I can retrieve the results and display them to the user in a grid. Is there any better approach than this /any drawback in this approach. Anyone had similar requirement? Please sugget.

Process-Centric Report – Used by administrators who can access all tasks across the application.Our task creation flow works as follows:An external system calls an Appian API. The API triggers a Process Model. The process performs some processing and creates a review task. Task data is displayed in both the User-Centric and Process-Centric reports.We recently introduced a new property/field that is passed from the API to the Process Model. This value is also being stored in a database from within the process.Our requirement is to display this new field in both reports.Current Status:In the Process-Centric Report, we are able to access and display the value using process variable mappings. I opened a request for a Kubernetes license for TDM Development environment.  There are two issues with this license1.  the license contains an extra dot delimiter in it:  i.e.    app.dev..mcboss.usmc.mil.zip2.  There is no apian.lic file available for downloadNeed assistance resolving these two issues.

Hi guys, I used ADT Plugin to produce report document using "Docx from dynamic template" , I got the images in the doc but the square bracket from bookmark is explicitly visible when I gave logo image(circular image).
