Using a restful service in a Record

Has anyone used a restful service in a Record and, if so, what did you put in the "Data Type" field in the "Data" section to resolve the problem with no CDT being available ?

Are you using a service-backed record? If so. have you followed this through?

Yes, it is a service backed record and yes, I am looking at the help page but I couldn't work out if the example related to a restful or SOAP service (probably my ignorance on the technologies and terminology).

It looks RESTful to me, though I'm not sure that tutorial goes beyond a GET anyway. You'll have to create a CDT to match the data that is returned from your service, as described here:

The tutorial uses a data type that matches all the fields from the service so that mapping to the CDT is easier, but that's not required if you're willing to do a little more work mapping with fields in the source expression.
