Automate starting a related action from record dashboard

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically launch a related action when a user gets to the Record summary dashboard? We have created an interface that displays and allows users to interact with the record data within a process model, but the limitation is that the user needs to click through the Summary dashboard > Related Actions and select it first in order to get there. This is cumbersome, especially on a mobile device. We would like to be able to just launch the related action and take them directly to that PM interface rather than a dashboard.

@Wendy, what other information is being shown on this record? What is the summary dashboard showing, and what is the related action doing? If you have a video, that would be useful.

Right now the summary dashboard displays just a very small subset of the same data that we have on our main interface launched by the process model. This is related to support ticket/enhancement request #427444. The related action handles numerous pieces of functionality (emailing and other business specific functions) from that main interface. (originally we tried to do this from the summary dashboard itself, but ran into some limitations with the file upload capability). I will check to see if it's possible to share a video, but a copy of our app was provided as part of that support case so it may be helpful.

It you could share a video that will be most helpful. I do not have access to the support ticket and would like to avoid having to install the entire application in order to understand the use case.

Another option would be to display the related action as a button at the top of the dashboard as shown in the second picture here:
