Release notes for Appian versions < 7.10

Check the below URL or go to documentation docs.appian.com/.../ and under Community tab -- Select Support Cases -- then jump to Downloads - Open specific version to get release notes from Summary page.

Hey Katharine, that&#x27;s a good question, when I try clicking on the release notes on 6.7.1 release (by the method which abhinavg712 has mentioned), I am redirected to 16.3 documentation.

kat Yo can browse the documentation of Appian from version 7.10 till 17.1 as of now, however when you visit forum.appian.com/.../all this url, you will be able to find Appian version 6.7.1 as well as 6.6.1 however if you click on that, this will take you to Appian 16.3 documentation.

As per my understanding, since Appian 6.x was the Legacy version of appian, hence they have removed the documentation of it, and this is the reason why when you visit docs.appian.com/.../ this URL and try switching the documentation through dropdown, you will find the version till 7.10 only

I am not sure why are you still interested to know and work on that legacy version, however as per my understanding the only way which is remaining for you is, you can perform the installation of Appian 6.x and can do R&D to learn more.

So the prerequisite is , you need to have Appian 6.x installer.

Note: As of now try to use this version for R&D only, since it&#x27;s a legacy/old version so i don&#x27;t think, appian will provide any support for this.

aloks176 - We are migrating from version 6 to a newer [but still older] version 7. Since there is no built in functionality to determine deprecated functions when importing our process models, we are having to find these deprecations manually.

It&#x27;s surprising that Appian doesn&#x27;t provide release notes for older versions as it is common practice elsewhere in the tech world. I had emailed them regarding the older documentation links hot linking to newer releases as well, but never received a response.

Exactly what version are you looking for I might have an old copy.

Anything from 6.6.1 onward to 7.5 -- I&#x27;ll take what I can get ;)

If you are looking for deprecated features, have you looked at the deprecated features page? docs.appian.com/.../Deprecated_Features.html

There is a version number associated with when that feature was deprecated. Clicking on any of the feature links will take you to a redirect page with further guidance.

Specific to the release notes, you can manually go back to previous versions of the docs by changing the version number in the url.

You also mentioned that you were looking for info on deprecated functions. Were there any in particular that you wanted to find out more information on?
