Stop process from going back to start form

Try and use a!buttonWidget instead of a!buttonWidgetSubmit if you want the user to be in the same page after he submits a form.

You can use a!buttonWidget to avoid this problem Abhishek Gaddam . You can save all the information of the context as an option in the Custom Fields of the User (temporarily), it's not a good practice but some guys of Appian recommend this trick.

Hello Mauticio, Thank you for the reply, As I am using the component a!fileUploadField, for the action ( document to target folder ) to happen I have to use a!buttonWidgetSubmit or change the whole logic to be implemented in process model and then use a!buttonWidget. I am looking for the option where I don't have to change the whole logic.

Hi Abhishek,

When the actual submit should happen ? on Start form or on directed interface ?

If on start form then on your directed interface's submit button give it value let say "X" .

In process model, add XOR gateway between your interface and end node. In XOR, check for button value, if X redirect the node to your form or else to End.

Maybe not a good practice but can serve your purpose.

Why do you want the user to stay in the upload doc form, after he/she submits the form?

If you are using a start form, unless you submit the start form, the process flow will not move forward. So when you are submitting the upload form, it is taking you back to the start form.

So what you can do is, use the link to call a section within your start from, which will display your upload doc form..use a show when condition for your section. i.e. the section will only show up when you click the link.. upload your document within the process start form and click on the submit button of your process start form.
