Which version are you in? I think in version 7 you can use tempo reports to show data from relational databases through the use of records. As for portal reports, I am not sure as we are still using version 6.6.1. Based on the documentation on portal report for 7.3 ( forum.appian.com/.../Portal_Reports), I think it still only supports Appian instances such as process models, process instances, and tasks. Appian maybe able to confirm on this.

Yes you can use tempo report along with queryrecord function.please refer below link(only for appian 7.2 and above version)
