Hi all,
I tried running a health check on our application today and got a 401 unauthorised error. Any idea how to resolve this issue?
Thanks for any help,
John

Hi John!
This error indicates that the Health Check Service Account password has expired. The issue is further explained in this KB-1556 Appian Health Check fails with a 401 unauthorized error.
If action step 1 doesn't resolve the issue, please open a support case with Appian Support for further assistance.
Hi Zach, thanks a lot for the response. I'm fairly new to the application and unsure what the service account credentials might be. The person who would have set this up is currently on leave. Will this be the credentials of a specific member of the team and is there anyway to find what these credentials may be?
These credentials will not be specific to a member of the team and the username should be viewable in the 'Third-Party Credentials' section of the Admin Console. The name will be specific to your organization, so I'm not quite sure what it would be. If you're unable to find what it is from there, and can't open a support case, you can also email 'support@appian.com' and we can assist from there.
Thank you so much, I managed to find the details in the section you mentioned and the username and password are luckily in clear text. When I try to sign in with them, it asks to reset the password. I assume I just reset the password, update the password in the 'Third-Party Credentials' section of the Admin Console to reflect the update password, and then I'm good to go?
Yup, that should do it. If you're unable to reset your password through that method, then you would need to open a support case with Appian Technical Support or send an email to 'support@appian.com' and we can reset the password for you.
Got it all sorted, thank you so much for your help.
