HI,
I'm trying to create a group dynamically by providing a form to the user. Is there any possibility to add the group to a specific application through the process?
Note: I tried adding the parent group to a specific application and created all the group as a sub group.

Hi adithyay
you can try create group smart service. provided link for the reference
Create Group Smart service
A group doesn't belong to a particular application, it can be used by anyone given the security. However, if you want to make it "specific" to an application, just append the application prefix to the group name in the "Create Custom Group" smart service. This is one of the best practices as well.
Hello Ankita
Thanks for the response. I'm looking to add the group to a specific application in the designer.
Hello Papreed,
Currently i'm using the same smart service to create the group but I want to add the groups into an Application and looking for the possibilities.
Hi, as far as I am aware there is no way to "automatically" add this group to the application. What I would suggest is that you instead include this in any deployment procedures you have. I assume that since you are creating these groups dynamically via user requests on a form, that there must be some overall parent group that you are associating to each of the created groups. A step in your deployment procedures should then be: go to the parent group (already added in the application), select all child groups, and "add to application".
Thanks for the response Evan, Our scenario is to add all the dynamically created groups to a specific application without any additional steps from user.
Agree, unfortunately, I do not believe there is a way to add groups automatically to an application zip. You could create groups as children or members of a group to that application, so that a missing dependency might pick them up (if done in the right order) - but would still require action from a designer to add them to the patch or app.
