How to export users from one environment to another and also assign them to specific groups?

Hi Rijuta
User Accounts are not promoted between Environments as you'd not want to have, say, Developer accounts, in a Production environment.Often organisations want to synchronise with their LDAP repositories, which can provide the capability to add or deprecate User Accounts and assign them to/remove them from Groups that represent their Role(s).
What User Accounts do you want to promote and why?
Stewart Burchell, I have same question.
As per below post, there is an out of the box way to perform this operation. Also, there is some shared component which supports this task. Unfortunitely the page of shared component is not accessible. Can you please shed some light on this?

I'm not sure what the "solution" is from the previous discussions, or what the unavailable shared component is. But, users are not promoted between systems. That's not in the product today.
There are methods to automate user creation on an Appian system either with SAML assertions, by syncing with an LDAP provider or importing user details from a file. Designers can also leverage user attributes to use in processes to automate the addition of users to specific groups.
If you have other cool ideas of how to systematically add users to groups, please share. But it's important to recognize the process will be different from object export/import for groups, rules, etc.
