We have a different requirement. We need to get the files from a ftp location. We need to search all the files with a particular extension or a naming convention and then download them and save into the appian DMS.
Once each file is saved into appian dms , we would also like it to delete it in the source.
Is it possible to perform these actions in appian or atleast some part of the requirement?
Otherwise we would have develop a api externally in .net or java and make use of it in the integration object of appian.
So, if its possible, it would make things easy and faster.
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Naresh
Yes, this is possible. You can use the following plug-in:
https://community.appian.com/b/appmarket/posts/sftp-smart-services
I tried it , but is there any documentation, to configure inputs for ftp using that plugin. It had some inputs like external key which was a mandatory field.
Even then, is it possible to search files using extensions and the retrieve them.
If I recall correctly if you want to search for a given file then this plug-in allows you to perform a 'dir' in the remote directory which will return a list of files and directories, and then you can write an Appian expression to search the list locally, and then once you've found the file(s) you want to perform a 'get' on you can then 'receive' the file(s).
