I am facing the below error while trying to open the excel downloaded from the record summary view.
I tried adding the site to trusted sites, and it still did not work. The error persists even when the record summary contains only text fields. Any idea?
It might be due to a special character not being handle properly (i.e. and '&' within one of the columns ).
I suggest to check all the data that you are passing to the excel and if you see nothing, try with other supporting functions like tohtml
The error is not specific to a record. it is thrown in all the records that we have in that environment.
I have faced that issue when I have done something wrong on the generation of the file. Is that problem on other environments? have you try to do the same record in another environment and compare the outputs?
Hi Sharmilan, I've seen a similar issue on one of my 20.1 dev environments where Oracle is configured as our data store. It doesn't seem to be data / special character related, as I get the error even for a new blank record list. What kind of records do you have (e.g. data store entity backed or expression backed)? If entity backed, what database are you using?
Did some more digging: Try https://community.appian.com/support/w/kb/1520/kb-2101-export-to-excel-errors-out-following-an-upgrade-to-19-2-and-later
Thanks Matt, it works now.
