Hi,
i am not able to provide security Access to users which are logged in through application(for example like gmail users register and logged in specific to Application) and not a Appian registered User. .
is there way to set security to application registered users?? or they must should have register with Appian??.
Note: I am using Trail version of Appian.

In general, everything done in Appian (security wise, etc) deals exclusively with Appian user accounts. Can you clarify what other type of user you might mean?
Hi Mike,
I mean to say when i try to give security to a user for process model, i can only see who are already registered with appian. Here we have a application and we provided registration and users can register and access the application. in this case who are now registering to the application they have the access to it. so i want restrict a user for a particular process model.
i am not able to provide security access to those registered users(not registered with appian) from application.
You should be configuring security using Groups instead of using individual users.
yes mike thanks, i forgot to mention the same even while creating the groups also i am not able to find the user. but i can see all other users which are registered with appian and i can give security to them.
is there any limitation for this specific case???
I'm not sure I understand what the issue is. Security is configured using various groups. As user accounts are created within Appian, those accounts are added to the appropriate groups either procedurally or manually (depending on your particular requirements). After the new user account has been added to a group, it will automatically have the process permissions which had previously been given to that group.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say "i am not able to find the user" -- are you trying to add users to a Group that haven't yet been created yet? Or something else? Appian groups can only contain Appian user accounts, so I'm not sure what you're expecting otherwise.
"Appian groups can only contain Appian user accounts" thanks mike i got the answer.
if user is not registered with Appian he will not be able to add it into groups right? please clarify me
Appian Groups can only contain Appian Users (and other Appian Groups). As you add new User accounts, you would need to make sure they get added to any/all appropriate Groups.
