We have a requirement for an unfinished task to send out a reminder email 3 days starting, followed by every day.
I have done this with an escalation containing an alert with a timer set to start after 3 days, then reoccur daily.
However we have an extra requirement to only send these emails out on work days.
Do any of you have any recommendations on how you would solve this problem?

You can add a condition to your timer checking that using calisworkday().
Does the condition field pause the timer if the condition is false?
I don't think this covers the case where it is Thursday and I want the escalation to alert the user 3 business days from now.
It will send the email out on Saturday, correct?
Agreed. That could help with the recurring timer. Did you try to calculate the initial time using caladddays()?

You can configure an expression in the advanced options to trigger the escalation only on workdays along with your current conditions.
That was the solution I think would be needed as well.
