Hi all,
We need to delete files from the Appian local file system on linux (Appian 20.2). We are running on premise. Is it possible?
Kind regards,
Jesus

Any reason that since you are on premise, you can't login / have a system admin login and delete the files at the server level?
It would be better to do it automatically because the files are generated periodically. We could generate a cron job to do it as well. I was wondering if we could do it with Appian.
Note Appian does not provide any functionality OOTB to interact with your server filesystem directly. There is a plugin for on-prem use, Appian Collab / Filesystem Utilities, but I can't recall if this will allow you to delete the files or not. Otherwise you will be looking to implement a cron job or periodic manual cleanup.
As far as I know this plugin is the only way within Appian to interact with the filesystem, other than developing a custom plugin yourself.
Hi Chris, that plugin only allows me to move the file from the file system into appian. And once in Appian I can delete it. That would be a solution. However, I think it is cleaner to write a simple java plugin to delete files. I dont really like the idea of transferring files to another system just to be able to delete them.
