An internal group is looking at using Appian for a document release approval workflow, but they'd only consider it if there way a way to include historically-approved documents as well so they could shut down their old solution completely.

*Completely serious question* Is there a good way to upload ~10,000 documents to Appian?...

We migrated over 100,000 documents for our first Appian implementation so don't let size put you off! The key task is determining a structure of Community - KC - Folder to load them in to so that they are still manageable once in Appian. We wrote a custom service to achieve this but it's certainly possible using existing components and process.
