Hi all,

i'm confused with the receiver of email-alert after commenting on the tempo.
based on my test, not only the sponsorer, but aslo others will receiver an email in some case,
and not all cases, all users.

i'm wondering what's exact rule of this email-alert?
or are there any reference docs about this?

ps, i know we can do some configuration in custom.properties. but it seems we can only configure sending time.

Please refer to the post installation step in server installation, you can set deflaut notification for all users.

Also, the timing of the notification can be "never", that is not to send notification.

hi cmtam, i know we can do some configurations in custom.properties.
what i'm confused is who will be the users of the notification.
based on my test, some users can receive the email, but some cannot.

all the users are in the viewer group,
sometime someone can receive the email, but sometime he can't.

If you change the default notification, please note that you need to restart the JBOSS twice.

the fact is we haven't changed anything. we use the default configuration.
everytime the sponsorer will receive an email when a new comment is added.
what's weird is sometimes others can also receive an email and he has never commented before.

do you know why?

Eagle, There are eleven cases in the default notification. Appian will send alerts based on corresponding cases.

sorry, i should specified my case before.
in my test case, user A, B, C are in the veiwer group.
a tempo event is sponsored by A. B adds a comment.
sometimes A and C receive the email-alert. sometimes only A receives.

i want to know why.
