Hello Team,
Please, do you know of a command in linux that can help grant a user account read,write,execute when configuring a linux box.
When installing appian, I keep getting permission issues when executing the search server.
Is there a way to fully grant a user full permission to a folder and sub folders in Appian - Linux?
Thanks

Normally, you should avoid using root. You should be creating a separate user.
In any case, here is the command in question:
find /home/appian -type f -exec chmod 744 {} \;

thank you, Matt. I was able to create a user account and assigned the user owner before I could start the search server.
But now, the site is not redirecting to the suite page (\suite).
It displays the page below when loaded:
and when I manually type in the suite (....com\suite); I get the same error page in the image above.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
To go further, having your custom.properties and Apache config would be helpful.
