Hi Forum
I have an issue where I cannot delete a task report off of a dashboard. (See Attached). After clicking the cross, nothing happens, when usually a dialog box pops up asking if I would like to delete or deactivate the portlet. If I try to exit out of editing the dashboard, by clicking 'Save & Publish', the entire screen greys out and becomes unresponsive. Currently using Appian 7.2

Hi Venkats. That didn't help, since it's not an issue with the task report itself, the issue lies with removing the task report from the dashboard. I fixed my problem by editing the process dashboard from the designer portal rather than the application portal. Thank you for your response though.

Hi Margaret.
I would've chosen either option if I had the chance, unfortunately the dialog box for that option didn't appear after clicking the cross highlighted in the screenshot. The cross button was unresponsive.
As stated in my first post, even if I tried to exit out of editing the dashboard, by clicking 'Save & Publish', the entire screen greyed out and became unresponsive, see the attached screenshot

Have you looked at the log file to see if your action is throwing an error?

I once had a "broken" dashboard too. My solution was to export it, unzip the package, modify the XML and reimport it. It was not easy but I got it to work.

Hi Stefan
Could you elaborate more on your procedure to fix the dashboard? I'm running into this problem all the time and I can't perform simple dashboard functions like editing a Web Content with Process Details portlet

Have you tried to export the dashboard in an application and unzip it. Having a look ate the XML files you should be able to find the dashboard file. You have to find the faulty section with the web content and delete it from the file.
