Hi All,
While JMeter with Appian, I am getting the following error:
{"message":"Expression evaluation error : An error occurred while executing a save: Could not decrypt item of type SAVE_VALUE. Item prepared for server was not encrypted: zzAction_Text.","title":"An Error Has Occurred","error":"APNX-1-4198-019"}
JMeter script is the same one which Appian has provided in there example. For further details refer to this link
forum.appian.com/.../Using_JMeter_with_Appian.html
Please let me know, how we can resolve this error.

Without seeing the request sent to the server, it is hard to pinpoint the error. Can you post the body data of the actual request that was sent to the server?

I have seen this error when a Tempo form has been updated a SAIL form. Check to see if the form you are posting this data to is a SAIL form. If it is, you need to change the body data of the request to match a SAIL request.

sumeetk, the easiest way is to use jMeter to record the transaction, then you can see the format of the request that was sent to the server.

We are not able to run the same response which was recorded earlier by JMeter. So, if anyone can suggest some other way please.

any updates on this? We are encountering the same issue in our environment.
"error":"APNX-1-4198-019","message":"Expression evaluation error : An error occurred while executing a save: Could not decrypt item of type SAVE_VALUE.

siddardhas, the best way to troubleshoot this is to run a single thread with a View Results Tree Listener enabled, this will allow you to see the request that was sent to the server.
The particular error you mentioned in your comment is usually indicative of the regular expression extractor not grabbing the saveInto value for the request.
It is a possibility that you are not getting the response expected from the request prior to the one that fails. It is possible to receive a 200 response, but still not get the response expected, validation errors are a good example.

Hi Sumeet,
Did you find any solution for this.
We are also getting the same error from jmeter.
{"error":"APNX-1-4198-019","message":"Expression evaluation error: An error occurred while executing a save: Could not decrypt item of type SAVE_VALUE.","title":"An Error Has Occurred"}

@vikrantb - Once Jmeter records the requests we cannot run the same requests again as it has encrypted parameters save_into and context. This link might help you in understanding the behaviour of SAIL requests -
docs.appian.com/.../SAIL_Performance.html
So you have to get following parameters from previous response and sen it to further request :
1) SAVE_INTO
2) CONTEXT
If you see the request you will find out that these parameters have encrypted text as their values and those should come from previous response. So you can use JSON extractor plug in in Jmeter to fetch it.
