I found an older thread (
forum.appian.com/.../e-86282)
from almost 2 years ago where it's stated that using a proxy is not compatible with the Call Web Service node. Is that still the case for 7.7? If this is still true, is it also true for Http Query, the a!http..., and the a!webservice... functions? What about the HTTP File Upload node added in 7.9?

It is still the case. It's something on our backlog. I'll add your interest as a note on the ticket.
For your use case, would a single proxy defined at a system-wide scope using http.proxyHost and http.proxyPort JVM arguments work, or do you need to define a proxy selectively for certain instances of smart services or functions?
