Hi Forum
Please refer to my forum post dated 17 December 2014, 10 months later and I still have not received an answer for this.
forum.appian.com/.../e-132544
I am working on Appian 7.2 and Internet Explorer 11. It seems that when accessing the dashboard reports, the side scroll bar will randomly become disabled. This is affecting the client as well and they are becoming very resistant towards using Appian because of it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

I also experienced issues with the scrollbar when opening up portal forms inside the portal and not as a separate pop-up. I think one workaround is if you hold your left mouse button and highlight the area while moving the mouse further down. Not too nice, but at least you'll see something.

Not very helpful I'm afraid but you should be aware that version 7.2 is no longer officially supported so you should be looking to upgrade your instance and most importantly migrate your functionality to the Tempo interface where you won't encounter this issue at all. Unfortunately the older your version of Appian and the newer your browser you're more likely to hit issues like this.

Do you have the hotfix H installed. Try other browsers too.
But, as Tim said 7.2 is no longer officially supported. Try creating a support ticket and request for help.

As per my basic knowledge, IE 11 is not a supported browser for Appian version 7.2 (
forum.appian.com/.../System_Requirements
. In this case, may I please know if Appian provides support for IE 11 (though IE 11 isn't a supported browser as per the mentioned documentation) if a support ticket is created? And next to it, will Hotfixes resolve the issues that aren't specified in the compatibility requirements, for instance IE 11 isn't specified in compatible browsers but could a hotfix solve compatibility issues in IE 11?
Am I missing something? I am slightly confused with the ongoing conversation here. If possible I would like to request to clarify.

@sikhivahans you are right.
But, support might have comeup with similar issue with other clients and may have a quick fix rather than hotfix. Hotfix is far less likely for an unsupported Appian and browser versions.

@shyamb Appian support doesn't provide any quick fix for browser compatibility. We had same issue & client decided to move on with product team recommendations.
