Adding a new language to the appian evironment. In this, when i go thru the documentation at:

forum.appian.com/.../Adding_a_New_Language
It read,
"Once you have added your desired locales to the custom locale-config*.xml file, translate all text from Java, JSP, and XML files to the new languages that have been configured for the system."
Does this means we need to have our own translate texts for the entire appian instance??
Any recommendation in this is useful....

  • My recollection is as of some time back... but to the best of my knowledge, after adding the new language in the locale xml file, you should contact Appian support who will provide you with the list of texts (in English) that is used within the platform. You then will have to provide the translated text for each of these terms. Once done, you should receive the translated file to be deployed.

Remember, this wont translate the text you have in your Process forms.
