Has anyone successfully sent an escalation to a non Appian user? I have tried to use the toemailaddress() function in the recipient field of the escalation, but it does not send the email to that user. It does send it to the other people in the list, who are users in Appian. Thanks.

toemailaddress didn't work for me before. Send Message Event should work.
