I have 2 questions regarding documents:
1) Does anyone know if Appian integrates with IBM Content Manager? I don't see anything pull up in Forum regarding this.
2) Is it possible to search through a document (word, pdf) through Appian? For example, a search functionality built on Appian, and a keyword is typed and Appian can search through its KC and return any documents with that word in the actual document.

You should be able to integrate with the Content Manager using Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) interface. Appian has these connection functions, available for interfaces via SAIL screens:
forum.appian.com/.../Connector_Functions.html

Also there are some related shared components available, just search for CMI or CMIS.
