Process Instance ID

Hi All,
I would like to know whether the process Instance Ids are always unique. The reason is, For unarchiving a Process instance i am planning to store the necessary details in DB. One doubt was whether the process instance IDs will remain unique across the execution engines?? Is there a possibility where process instance ID would repeat.
Thanks,
Thoufiq.

@mohamedt Process ids will be never reused. In fact, we have come across this question in one of the projects I have worked for while building the Archival/Unarchival related stuff. We know that they won't be reused but to strengthen this thought, we approached Appian as well and the answer is No and they will be never reused, unlike Task ids.
