Is there any smart service to send meeting invites which can be integrated with calendar?

Question

I thought of creating a ".ics" file with proper format and set it with the email attachment. But i faced an issue in converting ".txt" document into ".ics" document. 
 Is there any other way i can try because i am not finding any way to change the extension of a document.

Hi, 
I used "Send Meeting Request" smart service by passing in the values. But when i run the process the process works fine but there is no mail sent to the required recipient. Have you tried this smart service?

Yes,I have tried this smart service,and it sends out the mail to the recipients.Make sure the recipients has a valid email id.Do check your environment email mail sending configurations.

If memory serves, I did this for a customer in the past. 
 You shouldn't need to convert the txt to ics. just save your template as ics. 
 Also, keep in mind that you are designing against an external standard. The template generated ics "should" work fine, but there's no accounting for nuances in the original expected behavior of these files.

You'll probably need to write your own custom plugin to change a document's file type programatically. A workaround is to enable a user to download the file, have the user change the file type, and then capture the updated file in a file upload field.
