Error while creating Data Store Entity for Virtual Database

How did you configure this JDBC connection? In the Admin Console or in the JBoss data sources?

My very basic understanding is that Virtual Data Base wraps other RDBMS. It is possible that this is not supported by libraries/drivers that Appian uses - given the Hibernate error message, it seems that this kind of connection cannot be resolved to a known connection type.

Could you integrate with the VDB using an API instead of Data Source?

Echoing Justin, this won't work because Teiid isn't a supported database in Appian. See docs.appian.com/.../System_Requirements.html for a list of supported databases. Having said that, you should still be able to configure it as a data source and use it via the Query Database node.

We have some Hasmac Integration issue on Third Part Application that we are trying to connect from Appian.

Justin. It worked with Query Database but can we able to create a database link from VDB through ORACLE and point Oracle DB through Data Store?

I believe the Query RDBMS node uses a plain JDBC versus a Hibernate layer, so that would explain the discrepancy.

I've had mixed results with working with database links, but I suppose that's worth a try. I don't know enough about VDB to provide much other feedback unfortunately.

In order to do that, you'll probably need to look into the Hibernate files directly so that Appian can accept that server. Contact Appian Support for this and they may be able to help.
