Error in Webservice call

Hi Namrata,
What type of Service that you are using is that Rest Full web service or SOAP service.
If you are using restful web service based on the JSON response you can display the Generic message to the end User.

Based on "success" true or false you can do that,
When web service call is happen by using integration object,it will return success true or false(ex: rule!webCall().success )
if it is true show grid with data,if false show empty grid or any error message .

There are couple of things where the web service call might return errors.

1) Network issue. May be it is timed out or something.
2) Some of the web services may send some kind of info between some <error></error> (sample) then you can easily get those things from that.

For the first one you can handle until it is not throwing that Appian pink error. Second one you can easily access the response which contains error cdt.

If the SOAP service times out, Appian throws a pink error.

Any other error should have a specific error code and message. These can be used to handle the error and show a corresponding message to the user.

Agreed with Saksheer, AFAIK we cannot handle these pink screen errors, there might be possible cases to get pink screen error.
If you use a!webserviceQuery function in sail and out of the box we may not handle this issue.
I have n't come across these Implemenations.

I would like to provide you an approach. If you get any issues like above what you can do is like trigger a process model that will hit the webservice and gives you the Required Data in CDT's and loop back to the same User input task.
