SFTP Enablement and Mounting on Shared Drive using SFTP Smart Service

Hi all,

Good day.

We are planning to use "SFTP Smart Services" to move documents to a shared drive.

   1. Should the shared drive be SFTP enabled (or) can we copy any file to a shared drive using "SFTP Smart Services"?

   2. Should the shared drive by mounted?

If share drive is not required to be SFTP enabled, then we can directly move our files to the shared drive which is what we want. (Eliminates one additional step.)

If share drive is required to be SFTP enabled, then we need to place our files into a SFTP folder and another team is going to read from that drive and place into the actual folder. (Adds an additional step. The actual drive where files needs to be placed is not SFTP enabled now.)

The plan is to create a service account in Appian that has access to the shared drive on a remove server. This account is going to be added to the "Secure Credential Store" of the admin console. The key is used in the SFTP smart services to move the document from Appian to the shared drive.

Please let me know your suggestions.
