Have any Appian Cloud customers had success integrating with a Salesforce instance behind an IP whitelist? With the outbound IPs from Appian Cloud being subject to change, adding the cloud's outbound IP to the whitelist does not seem like a viable solution for the long-term. Are there any integration patterns that folks have had success with?

  • Since Salesforce Cloud does not allow the creation of VPN tunnels into their infrastructure for their customer's use and Appian Cloud does not provide a static IP address except for implementation over an established VPN tunnel, you cannot implement a white list type of implementation on your side.
You can access and query Salesforce using credentials and Salesforce authentication mechanisms. Our out of the box Salesforce connector can authenticate to Salesforce for integration calls.
