Hello Appian,
I want to end the process automatically, if no work is going on for an hour after the process start.
I thought "deadline" would play such role in the process model, but the process continues even after I set the one hour deadline.
Please let me know if there is a way to end the process automatically, after no work is going on for an hour after the process start.
Or if the deadline is the right way, I may have done something wrong with the setting, so please give example to follow.
Thank you in advance.

Hello Dreamwise,
"Deadline" in a process model is to set the target date time for process completion. It is majorly used for reporting purposes like to get the number of processes that have passed the target deadline. numoverdueprocessesforprocessmodel() - This function will return such process data.
Coming to your actual requirement, I have a question here. Where will the process halt after it starts? Whether it is on a User Input task (or) some other node? Some nodes allow Exception configuration where you can set the timer & connect the exception path to the end node to end the process.docs.appian.com/.../Process_Node_and_Smart_Service_Properties.html
Thank you Selvakumar, it was very helpful.
