Hi - I want to add a new user as Basic user who should be able to see Appian Designer only with specific Application let say "ABA" - nothing else in designer. How to achieve this? I created a user and added to designer which is added that person to Database and other groups as well which i don't want. I want that user to be administrator of the specific Application "ABA"
Please guide how to achieve this? Documentation is very high level, and self-paced training is not helpful.

Hi ByteMyst
These are the following steps that i tried and it worked for me:
1.Create a new user with "Basic User"
2.Create a new group for the specific application lets say "ABA Designers"
3.Add the created user to this group
4.Add the created group into Designers Group
5.Add the created group into Application Security as Administrator(Permission Level)
I think you need check your group membership once.
thank you I did esactly the same but when the user is added it inherited some Designer group rule based other groups like database as well which I don't want - where to modify that behaviour.
The fact that the user also belongs to the AS_HUB_GRP_Designers might be related to your issue.
Did you try removing them from that group?
