I have been trying to go through "Appian Developer" learning path. However, it appears that my Appian Community Edition environment is not set up correctly. I discovered this when I got to "Design Record Types: Model and Configure Your Data". The sample applications are missing.
So I tried to create my own app as a way to keep moving forward. However, when the AI wizard arrived at the "Data" stage, there were no data sources available.
I am just stuck and frustrated, and I feel like I am being ignored.
NOTE: I have already reached out to Appian Academy <training@appian.com> and Appian Community Edition <communityedition@appian.com> last Wednesday. But I have only received automated responses.

When I've run across this issue in the past with CE, the response typically comes back from the communityedition@appian.com account in around a week - I've run across this issue a few times.
From what I pieced together, occasionally when you go through the wizard to initiate the environment (like when you first login and are selecting region etc.) if you don't finish the process the DB won't initiate. I think I've had some luck by going through that process a few times until it finally when through. Other times I needed assistance from support.
