Open camera from Appian

Question

Hello, 
 is there some possible way how to open camara from mobile devices, take photos from Appian application and save them? Something like barcode component which allows you to scan barcode or QR code. 
 I know that it is possible to take picture with native mobile camera app and then upload to Appian, but this would be more straightforward.

When using the Android or iOS Appian apps, the file upload component will allow you to take pictures and access your device's saved photos

You can use the SAIL barcode component as described here:

The file upload component allow you to take pictures, videos, signatures, etc.

I believe there is nothing such so far, but you can build your own custom plugin around this. If you can tweak the barcode component it might help you.
