Could you please give any suggestion to get list of applications available in the Appian environment?

You'll need to write a plugin around ApplicationService.getApplicationsPaging() (or one of its related methods)

What's your use case for this? Do your environments have too many applications to feasibly count them?

Agree with Colton.
Curious as to what is blocking using Appian Designer, toggle on Applications and look / count ones that are published.
