IFM Manager unable to update process variable of type User or Group

Hi,

I have a variable of type user or group in an instance. I am trying to assign a new value to this by using below query but it is setting the value to NULL.

UPDATE_PMI 5371604770 SET PV assignee_user = ["mynewUserName"]

Am I missing anything here?
