How can I insert images with Caption intto Word Document?

I saw this post. But I have some doubts on how to use it.
As described in that post, we need to get content.xml by renaming WordTemplate.docx to WordTemplate.zip file. Am I supposed to do rename docx file to zip file on my local machine and then upload the documents inside in zip folder? or is there any way to rename/convert docx to zip file and then upzip it to get content.xml inside the appian process? Please advice.
