LDAP Tools Plugin search - no results

We have been successfully using the LDAP Tools plugin (v1.2.2) to search for specific users. It suddenly stopped working for the ldapsearch but is ok for authenticating. We are using LDAP version 2 and 3.

The issue is due to the application (Appian) sending an LDAP control of 2.16.840.1.113730.3.4.9, the version of VDS we have does not support this control. The previous version did support it.

How can I request plugin vendor to remove this control?
