Hi
I have a User Input Task in which End User fills the NickName / Office Phone of a person (already present in Appian Profile).
Can I get the User Name of the person whom NickName / Office Phone was entered?
I have already gone through this feed
forum.appian.com/.../
and this plugin
forum.appian.com/.../
Thanks...

Based on the plugin, it looks like you can only search the following records: 1=firstName, 2=lastName, 3=emailAddress

Is there a work around for achieving this kind of functionality?

The getusersby() now accepts two more search fields. Here's the list o f what each number represents when passed as the recordType function input:
{"firstname: 1", "lastname: 2", "email: 3", "username: 4", "nickname: 5}

@lily It's actually other way around. The task was to search from whole users database and find a particular username with an input of nickname. The task was not to get details of a particular user. Can you elaborate how your approach by custom fields then it might be more helpful to get insight?

as you see in the getuserby plugin there are 5 fields you can check, so you can add a custom field to a user for example "Drive License Number" and then after adding that custom field you can configure and use getuserby(6) to get username according to custom field. sorry for bad english.. hope you get the idea
