We have a requirement where we are required to FTP files to Appian. Appian is required to pull a file from another system - a linux file location. I tried using "FTP/STFP recieve file" smart service, there we are required to provide host name which I am not sure how the smart service will understand as we have a cloud installation of Appian communicating with our internal applications via a VPN tunnel. Could you please help us achieve this?

As part of setting up a VPN tunnel, Appian requires IP addresses of the customer's domains DNS servers. As long as the FTP server hostname is resolvable by those DNS servers, then the Appian Cloud instance should be able to find it. Alternatively, use the IP address of the FTP server instead.
