Whether you are looking to export data from DB or process and put it into an Excel format, use the export to Excel v2 plugin:

Ok, I'll check it - however I'm not sure if it suits our needs. I can see you have contributed to the project, so maybe you could provide us a simple Java code snippet or any other example how to upload new documents. I believe that many other people could use this knowledge to develop their own plugins and since documentation is very poor, I can't see any other way to learn it.

Bogdan, I guess I do not understand your use case. What do you mean by "upload new documents"? Do you mean generating docs based on the data within Appian (process, DB) and saving them in the Appian document repository?

I think the plugin I sent you should do nicely. Also you have two basic API calls from ContentService, create() and createVersion(). The createVersion() method documentation has a very good example:
forum.appian.com/.../ContentService.html
, java.lang.Integer). Also, have a look at the source code of the plugin, the ExportSqlToExcel class has a registerDocument() as another example.

Thank you! I've missed the fact, that plugin jar includes source files...
