Hi Everyone,
Is there any plugin or approach to display the Realtime notification to logged in user in Appian. Example: Use case is, whenever the case created and assigned to any logged in member, should see the desktop/web notification saying case assigned to you. In Realtime users they opened the homepage,they would like to know whenever the case is assigned to particular person through desktop/web notification, so they act immediately. Otherwise, users need to keep on refresh the home screen. We thought below two approaches but see the couple disadvantages.
1. When the case is created, can send an email to user and user can enable the outlook desktop notification feature but at this movement we would not increase the emails.
2. Add the refresh interval to get the data but it is not that much of user focus. Alway need to focus on the screen.
Could you please help us is there any other approach/plugins.

There are no desktop notification OOTB in Appian. While I understand your issue with emails, this is the only directly supported way.
Thanks for the response, Stefan. While looking into third party plugins, found the pub nub but the plugin is archived and added comment but no response from author.
Desktop notifications are absent from Appian out of the box. Although I can see why you have a problem with emails, there is no directly endorsed cookie clicker alternative.
