Hello,
We are developing a plugin to update user attributes and preferences i.e. firstname, lastname, locale, timezone etc.The plugin works fine but the issue we are facing is that if the user is of type "System Administrator" then after the plugin is executed the user type is automatically converted to "Basic User". In the code we explicitly tried setting the userTypeId and UserTypeName but that doesn't help.
Any inputs on why this is happening and how to fix this?
Thanks...

There are already plugins that update the preferences of users without altering the user type. You may want to have a look as examples. Simply navigate to the Records section here on Forum -> Shared Components
