I am trying to write a custom plug-in to read contents from my locally installed appian knowledge center. Can I use the Link to File in document property to read from the URL (e.g, localhost:8080/.../1541

Are you looking to retrive the document ids from the links? It may be easier to use something like getChildrenIds() in the ContentService

Thanks Abhi. I am actually trying to retrieve the contents of the document/file. Is there a way I can get the contents in form of byte array ?

I think I got it resolved using Appian's ContentService and setting the securities and visibility. Thanks for all your inputs.
