Push Notifications via Boxcar Plugin usage on 7.xx

Does anyone have experience with the "Push Notifications via Boxcar" shared component? Is it compatible with Appian 7.x? Has anyone used it successfully? forum.appian.com/.../summary

You need to have the boxcar app installed. AFAIK it is currently not possible to send push notifications to the Appian app.
