Empty Folder plug-in.

I have created a process model to select folders relating to old customer cases. I am using the plug-in Empty Folder to delete all the folder contents and then I am deleting the folder which I have just emptied. For some folders, I am getting an error because the folder can't be deleted as it is not empty.

When I click on the folder, no documents are shown inside it, but the fn!getdocumentsfromfolder is listing a number of documents. Further investigation shows the documents have an expiration date in the past.

How can I delete these documents? Why does the plug-in not delete them?
