Plug-Ins
Plugins are not getting deployed.

Hi All,
I am deploying plugins in "_admin/plugins" folder and Appian is not Picking up the plugins. It is not even showing any success/failed messages in the logs. I checked in custom properties and Hot deployment is enabled and is set to 60 seconds. I have even restarted the server but no use.
Can some one tell me what I am missing? and Is there any reason why the plugins are not getting deployed? Thanks in Advance

There are no errors. Nothing related to Plugins. These plugins are working fine in another server.

Are you sure you are checking in the correct logs? Logs might have been configured in a different location. Also when was the last time that the logs were updated?

You can also check in Appian admin console on your environment: http<APPIAN_BASE_URL>/suite/admin and check the Plugins section, to confirm if the plugins are deployed

By Admin console I mean the Admin console of Appian, not the command prompt. When you navigate to /suite/admin, there is a section for Plugins which lists all the plugins deployed

There are no plugins deployed so far in this server. Server version is Appian 16.3. I have tried 4 different plugins so far.One is a custom plugin and the remaining 4 are downloaded from Appian forum(cdt manipulator, execute storedprocedures, excel tools etc.). I have checked both Application server logs, jboss logs, Process designer, Admin Page and Commond prompt. I can't find any success or failure messages

If you are sure that the plugins are not getting deployed even when you paste the plugin jars in _admin/plugins, then there is one possibility that I think can be causing this issue:
Its directory read/write permissions.
The user under whose account Appian service or JBoss is running, that user account may not be having read permissions on the _admin/plugins or any of the files in it.
This is more likely to happen in Linux server.
Can you verify if the user account used for running Appian server and JBoss has appropriate permissions?
